Removal, installation and check of serviceability of functioning of the sensor of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel of VDC

REMOVAL
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. 2. Remove the module of a driver's frontal safety cushion (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).

3. Bring forward wheels of the car into rectilinear situation, give a fixing nut and remove a steering wheel from a shaft of a steering column, - use a stripper.

4. Turn out the screw of fastening of the lower cover of a casing of a steering column. |
|
5. Turn out two fastenings of the top cover of a casing of a column, release a clamp of a plait of an electrical wiring and disunite the socket of the sensor of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel.

6. Turn out fixing screws and remove assembly of a contact drum with the sensor of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel.

INSTALLATION
|
1. Make sure that forward wheels are in rectilinear situation.
|
2. Put assembly of the sensor on a steering column. |
3. Center (see the Head Onboard electric equipment) and put a contact drum on the regular place. 4. Screw and tighten 7 screws of fastening of a contact drum / sensor of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel. 5. Put a steering wheel on the regular place, center it and fix a nut, having tightened the last with the demanded effort (44 Nanometers). In order to avoid damages track that the directing finger of a contact drum got to a reciprocal opening in stupichny part of a steering wheel, at once release contact sockets of an electrical wiring of a safety cushion, horn and tempostat, having passed them throughout the directing opening in a steering wheel. 6. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Track that the gap between a landing surface of a steering wheel and face surfaces of covers did not exceed the limit of the admissible range (2 ÷ 4 mm). 7. Install into place the safety cushion module (see the Head Onboard electric equipment), then connect a negative wire to the battery. 8. In summary it is necessary to make installation of the central position of the sensor of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel and zeroing of the sensor of withdrawal / cross overloads (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of the module of management of VDC). |
