Removal, installation and adjustment of the module of management of VDC
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Uncover dashboards and disunite contact demountable an electrical wiring from its reverse side. |
3. Turn out three fixing bolts and shift the assembly block of safety locks aside. |
4. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the module of management of VDC on a basic arm. |
5. Disconnect an electrical wiring and remove the module of management, having pulled a lateral clamp up. |
6. Installation is made upside-down. When replacing the module of management it is necessary to track compliance of its marking of model of the car (see Specifications).
1 — Specification marking |
7. Upon completion of installation follows make necessary adjustments (see below). |
ADJUSTMENT
Installation of the central position of the sensor of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel and zeroing of the sensor of withdrawal / cross overloads have to be made every time after removal/replacement of such components, as the module of management of VDC, the withdrawal sensor / cross overloads, details of a steering column (including the safety cushion module), suspension bracket details, and also after performance of adjustment of provision of a steering wheel. |
Without application of SSM
Whenever possible adjustment should be made with use of the firm reader Subaru (SSM). |
1. Park the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a hard coating. 2. Bring forward wheels of the car into rectilinear situation and check centering of a steering wheel, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment. 3. Make on the car short (about 10 km) a trip on a direct road with a good covering, switch off ignition, then again start the engine and during the following trip make sure that the control lamp of VDC is not activated during the movement. Also try to make sure of serviceability of functioning of VDC and the steering drive. |
From application of SSM
1. Park the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a hard coating. Start the engine and leave it working at neutral transfer (AT in the situation "N" or "P"). 2. Bring forward wheels of the car into rectilinear situation and check centering of a steering wheel, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment. 3. Connect SSM to the car and choose the Set Mode Str.A.Sen.N & Lat.Gsen.0p point in the section of the menu of the Function Check Sequence display (follow the displayed instructions). 4. In the section {Brake Control System} of the menu select the Current Data Display & Save item and make sure that the sensor of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel is nullified ("0 deg"). 5. If information on the sensor differs from stipulated above { 0 deg }, adjust the provision of a steering wheel, then repeat check. 6. Make on the car short (about 10 km) a trip on a direct road with a good covering, switch off ignition, then again start the engine and during the following trip make sure that the control lamp of VDC is not activated during the movement. Also try to make sure of serviceability of functioning of VDC and the steering drive. |
