Removal, installation and diagnostics of the sensor of overloads (G-sensor)

Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Uncover the central console (see the Head Kuzov).
3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the G-sensor.
4. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the sensor.

5. Installation is made upside-down. Track correctness of orientation of the installed sensor.

Try not to subject the sensor of overloads to shock loadings!

Diagnostics

See also Section Problem Diagnostics of ABS.

Check with use of the firm skanerny reader Subaru (SSM)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the car parked in horizontal situation switch off ignition, prepare SSM, connect it to the diagnostic DLC socket and transfer to the mode of check of brake system {BRAKE CONTROL}. Choose subsection {Current Data Display & Save} in the menu of the display and consider value of output tension of the G-sensor. If the result of measurement exceeds the limit of range 2.3 ± 0.3 B, replace the sensor, otherwise pass to the following stage of check.
2. Uncover a console box (see the Head Kuzov), and take the G-sensor, without disconnecting from it an electrical wiring and incline forward at an angle 90 °. Consider the indications displayed the reader. If the result of measurement exceeds the limit of range 3.9 ± 0.2 B, replace the sensor, otherwise pass to the following stage of check.
3. Incline the sensor at an angle 90 ° back and repeat check, - value of output tension of the sensor should not exceed the limit of range 0.7 ± 0.2 V. the faulty sensor is subject to replacement.

Check without application of SSM

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

In the absence of near at hand SSM the same checks are made by means of the voltmeter, - switch off ignition, remove the G-sensor, connect to it an electrical wiring, then turn the ignition key in the situation ON and measure tension between No. No. 2 plugs (+) and 3 (-) of the sensor R70 socket in various provisions of the last.
