Details of installation of ABS sensors

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the forward wheel sensor located close a casing of a support of a forward rack in a motive compartment of the car.

3. Turn out bolts of basic arms of fastening of an electrical wiring of the sensor to a suspension bracket rack.

4. Turn out bolts of an arm of fastening of a plait of an electrical wiring of the sensor to a body element.

5. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the wheel sensor from assembly of a rotary fist.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a polar tip of the sensor for existence of damages and the stuck foreign particles. In case of need clear or replace the sensor.

2. Measure resistance between plugs No. No. 1 and 2 of the contact socket of the sensor. If the result of measurement exceeds the limit of admissible range (1.25 ± 0.25 kOhm), replace the sensor.

3. Check conductivity of an electrical wiring of the sensor, in case of need replace a plait.

4. Measure distance "And" between a surface and a polar tip of the sensor.

5. Measure distance "In" between the surface of a rotary fist interfaced to the sensor and a rotor of ABS.


6. = In - And determine the size of a working gap (S) between a surface of a polar tip of the wheel sensor and teeths of a rotor by a formula S. If the result of calculation exceeds the limit of the admissible range (0.3 ÷ 0.8 mm), make selection of new adjusting laying (detail No. 26755AA000).

 

7. Check the output tension of the sensor by installation of the resistor and the condenser and rotation of a wheel with a frequency, the corresponding speed of the movement of 2.75 km/h.
8. Adjustment is made by selection of adjusting laying (detail No. 26755AA000).

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Temporarily fix the wheel sensor on a rotary fist. Try not to strike the sensor about metal components of a body and a suspension bracket, - especially protect a polar tip.
2. Fix a sensor electrical wiring plait in basic arms on a rack of a suspension bracket and a mudguard of a wing in a wheel arch, - bolts of fastening of basic arms are tightened with effort of 32 Nanometers.
3. By means of the probe of lezviyny type measure gap size between a polar tip of the sensor and a gear edge of a rotor (on all perimeter of the last). If the result of measurement exceeds the limit of the admissible range (0.3 ÷ 0.8 mm), achieve the demanded result by selection of the corresponding adjusting laying (detail No. 26755AA000), then tighten a boat of fastening of the sensor with the demanded effort (32 Nanometers).
4. On marking on isolation make sure of correctness of its laying, - address to the data given below.

5. Having made sure of correctness of a gap, connect an electrical wiring to the sensor.
6. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
