Check of sequence of operation of valves of ABS and VDC hydromodulators

ABS hydromodulator

Check is carried out as it should be similar described in the Section Check of Sequence of Operation of Valves of the ABS Hydromodulator, - the diagnostic card is given in an illustration.

 When using SSM functioning begins with a point And.
HIGH = High level of tension; LOW = Low level of tension; ON = Vkl; OFF = Vykl

 


VDC hydromodulator

Check without application of SSM

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Connect diagnostic plugs to plugs No. No. 5 and 8 of the heater of a driver's seat of the diagnostic socket, close to the block.
2. Include transfer and achieve rotation of wheels of the car with a frequency, 2.75 km/h are lower than the corresponding speed of the movement, then switch off ignition.
3. Start the engine, make sure of serviceability of operation of control lamps of ABS and VDC and within 0.5 seconds after their shutdown, squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake at first once, then still twice within 3 more seconds, - at the end the pedal should be released.

 Do not squeeze out a pedal of coupling!

4. After completion of check switch off ignition.

 

Check with application of SSM

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 If performance of check with application of SSM is not possible owing to any violation.


 At the diagnostic plugs connected to the diagnostic socket (see an illustration 28.1) performance of check is not possible!

1. Connect SSM to the car DLC socket located at the left under the dashboard.
2. Include ignition, then include food of SSM.
3. Transfer SSM to the mode of check of brake system {BRAKE CONTROL}.
4. Activation of check of sequence of operation of ABS happens at a choice of subsection of the menu {Function check sequence}.
5. At emergence on the message display screen "Firmly squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake" (Press Brake Pedal Firmly), it is necessary to squeeze out a pedal with effort of 100 kgfs (when performing check at the stand)/35 kgfs (when checking with use of measuring instruments (see the Section Removal, installation and check of serviceability of functioning of assembly of the module of the ABS management/hydromodulator).

 Do not squeeze out a pedal of coupling! Emergence of the message of "Press YES" means that it is necessary to press the YES button. The course of check will be reflected in the monitor screen.

Exit from the check mode

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

The exit with transition of VDC to the mode of normal functioning comes from the check mode in the following cases:

g) At increase in frequency of rotation of any of wheels up to the size, the corresponding speed of the movement more than 10 km/h;
h) At a detachment of diagnostic plugs from plugs No. No. 5 and 8 of the diagnostic socket (without application of SSM);
i) At an otpuskaniye of a pedal of a foot brake / disconnection of the sensor switch of stoplights;
j) At lateness of squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake after inclusion of ignition and shutdown of control lamps of ABS and VDC (without application of SSM);
k) At delay of squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake more than for 0.5 seconds after shutdown of a control lamp of ABS (without application of SSM);
l) Upon completion of a test cycle.
