REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Cock the parking brake.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch of level of brake fluid.
4. Disconnect from GTTs hydraulic tubes, - at once to a zakuporta the open ends of lines in order to avoid hit in system of dirt.
5. Give fixing nuts and separate from the GTTs brake amplifier.

6. Disconnect a vacuum hose from assembly of the amplifier.


7. Pass into salon, take a fixing pin and separate a cutting finger of a pusher of the brake amplifier from the lever of a pedal of a foot brake, then give four nuts of fastening of the amplifier to a partition of a motive compartment.
8. Trying not to hook on brake lines, remove assembly of the vacuum amplifier from a back partition of a motive compartment. Attention: The assembly of the vacuum amplifier dropped in the course of dismantle is subject to replacement without fail! Remember also that the excessive effort enclosed to an assembly pusher rod at an angle more than 3 ° rather axial line is fraught with damage of the cylinder of the power piston.

9. Needlessly do not change pusher rod length, - if length was changed, adjust it so that the size of a vystupaniye of "L" conformed to requirements of Specifications.

10. In order to avoid damage of a rubber protective cover of a pusher the removed amplifier laid on a workbench should not be exposed to considerable vertical loadings.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start assembly of the vacuum amplifier on the regular place, having accurately passed a pusher rod throughout an opening in a partition.
2. Connect a rod to the lever of a pedal of a foot brake and fix a cutting finger a cylindrical pin. Tighten four fixing nuts.
3. Connect a vacuum hose to the amplifier.
4. Establish GTTs (see the Section Removal, service and installation of the main brake cylinder (MBC)).

5. Measure pusher rod length, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment.

6. Measure gap size between a cut of carving part of the sensor switch of stoplights and an emphasis of a pedal of a foot brake, - do not rotate the sensor switch. In case of need bring it into norm (0.3 mm) by an otpuskaniye of a lock-nut and updating of the provision of the sensor switch.
7. Grease the joint pin of fastening of a rod of a pusher for the purpose of minimization of its wear.
8. Fill in fresh hydraulic liquid in the tank and pump over brake system (see the Section Pumping of a Hydraulic Path of Brake System).
9. Make trial runs of the car for the purpose of check of serviceability of functioning of brakes, - make sure of lack of signs of "prikhvatyvaniye" of blocks.

CHECK

 During performance of checks the parking brake has to be reliably cocked!


Checks without use of measuring devices

Check of tightness of assembly of the brake amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For 1-2 minutes start the engine, then muffle it and several times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake with normal (as at usual braking) effort, - the course of a pedal has to be reduced at each next push, otherwise it is necessary to check a condition of the control valve and the amplifier of a vacuum hose brought to assembly. Replace defective components, then repeat check. In the absence of positive changes check the amplifier by means of measuring devices (see below).
2. Start the engine, squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake, then again switch off ignition. Hold a pedal pressed within about 30 seconds, - its situation should not change, otherwise the amplifier it is necessary to check with use of measuring devices (see below).


Check of serviceability of functioning of the brake amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the switched-off engine several times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake for dumping of depression in a working chamber of the vacuum amplifier.
2. Record a pedal in the squeezed-out situation and start the engine, - at the serviceable amplifier the pedal has to "fail". At negative results of check make testing of the amplifier with use of measuring devices (see below).

Check of tightness without loading

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine and do not suppress it until depression depth in the brake amplifier does not reach a point And = 66.7 kPas, - do not squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake.
2. Kill the engine and track indications of the vacuum gage. Speed of decrease in depth of depression in the serviceable amplifier makes no more than 3.3 kPas in 15 seconds. At identification of signs of violation of tightness it is necessary to check a condition of the control valve, a vacuum hose, to estimate quality of a welded seam of the case, to make sure of absence of damage of a diaphragm and signs of development of leaks through a plate, a sealant and the dish-shaped valve. In case of need replace assembly of the vacuum amplifier.


Check of tightness under loading

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine, squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake with effort about 20 kgfs (196 N) and, without releasing a pedal, wait for lowering of depth of depression in the brake amplifier to a point In (66.7 kPas).
2. Kill the engine and track indications of the vacuum gage, - depression falling speed besides should not exceed 3.3 kPas in 15 seconds. In case of need make the corresponding recovery repair or replace the amplifier.
