Check of a state and replacement of a gas-distributing belt - l models 2.0 and 2.5

Details of installation of a gas-distributing belt

1 — the Right back cover of the GRM drive
2 — Directing a gas-distributing belt (only models with RKPP)

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Kill the engine, open a cowl and remove the left and right forward covers of the GRM drive.
2. Highlighting itself a small lamp, fingers feel a belt on all length, checking it for existence of cracks and stratifications. Also presence on a belt of attritions, zapolirovanny to gloss of sites and other obvious defects is inadmissible. If necessary replace the damaged belt.

3. Measure width of a tape of a gas-distributing belt. If the result of measurement makes less than 27 mm, check perpendicularity of installation and correctness of combination of intermediate rollers and cogwheels of the GRM drive, in case of need make necessary corrections / replacements. Replace a worn-out gas-distributing belt.

4. Establish to the place of a GRM drive cover.

REPLACEMENT

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove fans of cooling systems of the engine and air conditioning (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating).

2. Remove the protection cover of belts of the drive of auxiliary units.

3. Take off V-shaped driving belts.
4. At the corresponding complete set remove a natyazhitel of a belt of the drive of the К/В compressor.

5. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft, - for blocking of a shaft from a provorachivaniye use a special key of ST 499977100. Remove a pulley.

6. Remove at first the left, then right sections of a forward cover of the GRM drive. Then remove a casing of the belt located in front.

7. On models with RKPP turn out fixing bolts and remove directing a gas-distributing belt.

8. Turning a cranked shaft by means of ST 499987500 head, achieve combination of adjusting tags of cogwheels cranked and both camshafts with reciprocal risks on a back cover / block of cylinders.

9. Remove intermediate rollers.

10. Take off a GRM drive belt.

11. Remove assembly of the automatic regulator of a tension of a belt.

12. Upon purchase of new belts take with yourself old as samples - replaceable belts have to correspond strictly removed from the car on a standard size.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a new belt of the GRM drive, - track for correctness of combination of adjusting tags.

Violation of installation of phases of gas distribution is fraught with damage of internal components of the engine as a result of blow of valves about the bottoms of pistons!

2. Further installation is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components.
