2. Ask the assistant to rotate slightly a steering wheel to the right-to the left and try to estimate the moments of the beginning of turn of wheels visually. Measure the size of a free wheeling of a steering wheel (on the outer side of a rim), compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. |
3. Make sure that the axial side play of a steering wheel on a shaft of a column does not exceed 0.5 mm. 4. Make trial runs of the car with check of the following parameters:
a) Rotary effort: resistance of the helmsman of wheels to rotation has to be uniform and identical on all length of the course; b) Withdrawals of a steering wheel (course stability of the vehicle): the steering wheel should not leave spontaneously in any of the parties at the movement on an equal horizontal covering; c) Beating of a steering wheel: the beating of a steering wheel during the movement has to be absent completely; d) Return of a steering wheel: at the helmsman's otpuskaniye upon completion of turn it has to come back to neutral situation. |

Hinge of a steering shaft

1. Tire out the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a hard coating and serially turn a steering wheel on 90 ° in each of the directions.

2. At the turned steering wheel visually estimate a condition of protective covers of the steering mechanism. Estimate correctness of landing and reliability of fastening of protective covers, grease sealing sponges of covers. In case of need eliminate the deformations of covers which arose during adjustment of convergence of wheels, - develop the outer edge of the twisted cover in the relevant party. |

3. Check reliability of a tightening of fixing bolts, in case of need tighten fixture with the demanded effort (59 Nanometers). |

4. Quickly rotating a steering wheel to the right-to the left, estimate correctness of a side play of gearing of elements of rack transfer of the steering mechanism. If functioning of rack transfer is followed by extraneous noises, make adjustment of a side play of gearing: a) Tighten the adjusting screw with effort of 7.4 Nanometers, then again release it, - repeat this procedure twice; b) Tighten the adjusting screw with effort of 7.4 Nanometers and then weaken it, having turned on 25 є back; c) Grease at least 1/3 full perimeters of a carving surface of the adjusting screw with liquid greasing; d) Screw a kontryashchy nut and, holding the adjusting screw a wrench, tighten a lock-nut with the demanded effort, - use ST 926230000 key. |

2. Check reliability of fastening of tips to rotary fists, estimate a condition of boots and check side plays of spherical fingers. In case of need tighten koronchaty nuts of fastening of tips with the demanded effort, then bring up them within a corner 60 ° before combination of shplintovy openings. Block nuts new forelocks. 3. Hoses and elements of fixture of the steering pump
