Do not try to wash out the filtering air cleaner element. Paper of which the element is made, is impregnated with the special nonflammable, slowly evaporating viscous liquid doing it frost-resistant and prolonging element service life. |
Dirt sticks to the viscous liquid filling porous structure of paper that interferes with its penetration in an inlet path. Washing of an element involves loss of impregnation and, - as a result, - noticeable decrease in efficiency of functioning of the air cleaner.
1. Replacement of the filtering element is made regularly according to the schedule of routine maintenance of the car. During operation of the car the condition of the filter has to be checked rather often, in particular in the conditions of strongly dusty district.
2. On l models 2.0 and 2.5 the air cleaner is fixed in back part of a motive compartment on the center of a partition, on models of 3.0 l – in the right back corner.
3. Give bolts of fastening of the air cleaner to basic drains (l models 2.0 and 2.5), release spring clamps of a cover of the air cleaner, disconnect everything the hoses stirring to performance procedures and uncover, - try not to allow falling in a casing of the air cleaner of foreign subjects.

4. Take the filtering element and wipe internal walls of a casing pure rags. |
5. Visually estimate a condition of the filtering element, in case of strong pollution make replacement.

In order to avoid premature wear of internal components of the engine and emergence of flashes in a final path do not operate the car with the taken air filter! |
6. Establish the replaceable filtering element, track correctness of its landing in a casing.

7. Make assembly as it should be, the return to removal. Tighten fixing bolts with the demanded effort.

On models of 3.0 l before installation of a cover of the air cleaner bring lock uvulas from the back party of a cover to reception grooves of a casing, then latch clamps. |
