 The description of procedures of removal, service, installation and adjustment of the blocking mechanism is provided in the Section Removal, service, installation and adjustment of assembly of the mechanism of blocking of inclusion of a reverse gear.


The mechanism of blocking of inclusion of a reverse gear located in a transfer case prevents direct switching from the 5th transfer on transfer of a backing. The selector lever and a cam allowing switching of transmission on a reverse gear only after a preliminary choice of neutral situation is for this purpose used.

Design

The design of the safety mechanism is shown on an illustration.

The sleeve of the mechanism of blocking of a pribolchen to a transfer case also serves as a casing for lock components.

In a sleeve the axis which thinner end freely turned cam is put on is located. Freedom of longitudinal movement of a cam along an axis to the left side is limited by the step created on an internal wall of a sleeve.

Cavities are provided in both end faces of an axis of the lock, in left from which the 1st returnable spring equipped with a cap is filled. The small returnable spring filled in a cavity from the right end face of an axis wrings out the last to the left.

One more spring is established outside on a cam and with the left end provides an extraction of the last with a simultaneous provorachivaniye to the left.

Both right springs rest the right end faces against the special plate fixed by a lock ring.

The V-shaped flute which the sprung blocking ball put in an opening in a sleeve enters is provided in an axis of a cam.

The selector lever is passed in a cut from the lower party of a sleeve and enters a cam axis groove.

Principle of functioning

On an illustration 2.2 the selector lever is shown in the neutral provision. Extreme left position of the lever corresponds to a choice of the 1st or 2nd transfer, extreme right - the 5th and back. In neutral situation the 1st returnable spring seeks to shift the lever to the right (towards the 5th and back transfers) while the small returnable spring of an axis holds it on a place.

At shift of the lever of the selector aside 5-y/back transfers the axis and a cam of the mechanism of blocking are wrung out to the right.

At a choice of the 5th transfer the selector lever is developed in the respective direction and, going beyond edge of a cam, releases the last that leads to return it in a starting position by the effort developed by a cam spring.

In attempt of switching from the 5th transfer on back the selector lever, turning, wrings out an axis to the right that is followed by deployment of a cam counterclockwise (at a look in the direction A). The angle of rotation of a cam is limited by a persistent plate in the point corresponding to neutral situation. Further, under the influence of developed by a returnable spring, the selector lever is wrung out by a cam axis to the left (in neutral situation).

In a case when before a choice of a reverse gear transmission comes back previously in neutral, the selector lever freely turns in the demanded direction after simultaneous push-up of an axis with a cam which end faces appear in one plane.
