The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid receiving injuries at its casual operation (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning)! It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation.

General information
The module of management, assembly of the switch/activator of a driver's door, and also activators of locks of passenger doors and door of a back (Legacy Station wagon/Outback model) are among components of the uniform lock.
Blocking/unlocking of a driver's door by means of the internal switch of the lock leads to blocking/unlocking of all other doors of the car. The schematic diagram of the uniform lock is submitted on an illustration.
As a subsystem the system of remote control which main components are the module of management of the uniform lock which is built in a key head a remote control (transmitter), door switches, and also lamps of the alarm system and saloon lamps is a part of the uniform lock.
The DU panel functions on a radio frequency that allows to use the transmitter from any directions.

Check of safety locks
Take safety locks No. 2 (15 A), SBF-6 (30 A) (the main assembly block) and No. 3 (15 A) (the assembly block of safety locks and the relay). Visually estimate a condition of safety locks, replace the fused elements. If safety locks in norm, check serviceability of a condition of contours of giving of food and grounding of the module of management of the uniform castle / system of remote control (see below).

1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the module of management (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock). 2. Measure tension between No. No. 5 plugs (+) and 16 (+) of the B176 socket of a plait of an electrical wiring and the mass of the chassis. If the result of measurement structure lyat more than 10 V, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check for existence of breaks and short circuit an electrical wiring on a chain site between the module of management and a safety lock. 3. Measure resistance between No. No. 6 plugs (+) both 14 (+) of the B176 socket and the mass of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohms, chains of giving of food and grounding as it should be, otherwise repair an electrical wiring. |

Check of serviceability of a condition of contours of switches of door locks
|
1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the module of management of system of the uniform lock (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock). 2. Measure resistance between the plug No. 7 (+) of the B176 socket and "Is unblocked" by the mass of the chassis in situation the switch. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 Ohms, the following stage of check can be lowered. 3. Repeat the previous check in situation "Is blocked" the switch. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohms, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise the switch in norm. 4. Disunite the contact socket of an electrical wiring of the switch/activator of the door lock (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock) and measure resistance between plugs No. 1 and No. 3 in situation "Is unblocked" the switch. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohms, pass to the final stage of check, otherwise replace assembly of the switch/activator (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock). 5. Repeat the previous check in situation "Is blocked" the switch. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 megohms, replace assembly of the switch/activator (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock), otherwise check for existence of signs of break and short circuit an electrical wiring on a chain site between the module of management and the corresponding switch. |

Check of serviceability of a condition of a contour of activators of door locks
|
1. Measure tension between No. No. 17 plugs (+) both 18 (+) of the B176 socket and the mass of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 V, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise replace the module of management of the uniform lock. 2. Check a condition of the corresponding activator (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock), in case of need make its replacement. If the activator as it should be, check for existence of signs of break and short circuit an electrical wiring on a chain site between the module of management and the activator. Make necessary recovery repair. |

1. Include ignition and disunite the registration socket (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock). Measure tension between the plug No. 2 (+) of the B176 socket and the mass of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 V, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise repair an electrical wiring / the contact socket. 2. Repeat the above described check at the connected registration socket. If the result of measurement makes 0 V, the registration socket as it should be, otherwise repair an electrical wiring / the contact socket. |

Check of a condition of the door switch
|
1. Measure tension between No. No. 3 plugs (+) both 4 (+) of the B176 socket and the mass of the chassis. If in public the result of measurement differs from value of 0 V, the following stage of check can be lowered. 2. Close all doors and repeat the previous check If in public the result of measurement makes about 10 V, therefore, the switch as it should be, otherwise pass to the following stage of check. 3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the door switch and measure resistance between plugs No. 1 and No. 3 (lateral doors)/№ 2 (a back door) the switch. If at wrung out to the pressed switch button result of measurement makes more than 10 megohms, pass to the final stage of check, otherwise replace the switch. 4. Repeat the above described check at the released switch. If the result of measurement makes less than 1 Ohm, check for existence of signs of break and short circuit an electrical wiring on a chain site between the module of management and the switch, otherwise replace the switch. |

Check of a condition of the alarm switch of a key
|
1. Take from the main assembly block a safety lock No. 6 (15 A) and visually estimate its condition. Replace the fused safety lock. If a safety lock in norm, pass to the following stage of check. 2. Take a key from the lock of ignition and measure tension between the plug No. 1 (+) of the B176 socket and the mass of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes 0 V, therefore, the alarm switch in norm, otherwise pass to the following stage of check. 3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the alarm switch. Insert a key into the ignition lock (in the situation LOCK) and measure resistance between plugs No. 1 and No. 2 of the switch. If the result of measurement makes less than 1 Ohm, pass to the final stage of check, otherwise replace the alarm switch. 4. Take a key from the lock of ignition and repeat the previous check. If the result of measurement makes less than 1 megohm, replace the alarm switch, otherwise check for existence of signs of break and short circuit an electrical wiring on chain sites between the switch and a safety lock and between the switch and the module of management. |

Check of serviceability of functioning of lamps of the alarm system
|
1. Make sure of serviceability of activation of lamps of the alarm system from the corresponding switch on the car dashboard. If lamps blink regularly, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check a condition of the corresponding electrical wiring, make necessary corrections. 2. Take a key from the ignition lock, close all doors (including a back door) and measure tension between plugs No. No. 12 and 13 of the B176 socket and mass of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 V, replace the module of management of the uniform lock (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of the uniform lock), otherwise check for existence of signs of break and short circuit an electrical wiring on a chain site between the module of management and lamps of the alarm system. |

Check of serviceability of functioning of lamps of saloon lamps
|
1. Make sure of serviceability of activation of lamps from the corresponding switch. If lamps function regularly, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check a condition of the corresponding electrical wiring, make necessary corrections. 2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the module of management of the uniform lock and the saloon lamp. Measure resistance between the plug No. 11 of the B176 socket and the plug No. 2 of the R52 socket. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 V, therefore, the chain of the lamp is serviceable, otherwise check for existence of signs of break and short circuit an electrical wiring on a chain site between the module of management and the lamp. |

Check of serviceability of functioning of illumination of the switch of ignition
|
1. Disunite the contact socket of an electrical wiring of a chain of illumination of the switch of ignition and measure tension between the plug No. 2 (+) of the B224 socket and the mass of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 V, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check for existence of signs of break and short circuit an electrical wiring on a chain site between the switch of ignition and a safety lock. 2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the module of management of the uniform lock. Measure resistance between the plug No. 11 of the B176 socket and the plug No. 1 of the B224 socket. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 V, check serviceability of a condition of the block of illumination (in case of need make replacement), otherwise repair an electrical wiring. |
