1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
|
2. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a basic arm of the horn which is subject to removal. |
3. Disconnect an electrical wiring and remove a horn. |
|
Check
|
|
|
|
1. Connect the battery between the plug of the contact socket and the case of a horn and make sure of serviceability of reproduction of a sound signal. |
2. Replace a faulty horn. |
|
Installation
|
|
|
Installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. |
|
Switch
|
|
|
|
The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). |
Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid receiving injuries at its casual operation (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning)! It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation. |

Removal and installation
|
|
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery and wait not less than 20 seconds.
2. Remove the module of a driver's frontal safety cushion (see the Section Removal and installation of the SRS components).
|
|
3. Release fixture and remove the horn switch from a steering wheel. |
4. Installation is made upside-down. |
|
Check
|
|
|
|
Measure resistance between the plug No. 1 of the contact socket of the switch and mass of the chassis. At the pressed switch the result of measurement has to make less than 1 Ohm, at released, - more than 1 megohm. Replace the faulty switch. |
|
|
|
|
