REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft (see the Section Removal and installation of a pulley of a cranked shaft).
2. Remove a forward cover of the GRM drive (see the Section Removal and installation of covers of the GRM drive).
3. Remove a gas-distributing chain (see the Section Removal and installation of gas-distributing chains).
4. Remove asterisks of camshafts (see the Section Removal and installation of asterisks of the drive of camshafts).
5. Remove an asterisk of a cranked shaft (see the Section Removal and installation of an asterisk of a cranked shaft).
6. Remove a back cover of the GRM drive (see the Section Removal and installation of covers of the GRM drive).

7. Uncover the right head of cylinders.

8. Working in ascending order of serial numbers, evenly weaken and turn out bolts of fastening of a forward cover of camshafts of the right head.

9. Working in ascending order of serial numbers, evenly weaken and turn out bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of camshafts.

10. Having uncovered bearings, take at first inlet, then final camshafts.

11. Take caps from a cover of the left head of cylinders.

12. Working in the similar manner described above, remove camshafts of the left head (fixture release in a mirror order).

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure the size of a radial beating of a camshaft (see the Section Removal and installation of camshafts). In case of need make necessary recovery repair, or replace a shaft.
2. Check bearing necks of a shaft for existence of signs of excessive wear and mechanical damages. The defective shaft is subject to replacement.

3. Measure outer diameters of necks. In case of a deviation of results of measurements from the values given in Specifications make definition of working gaps in bearings by means of the calibrated plastic thread (Plastigage set):

· Carefully wipe basic surfaces of covers and a neck of a shaft;
· Lay a shaft on the regular place in a head of cylinders;
· Place along bearing necks pieces of the calibrated plastic thread from the Plastigage set;
· Establish covers of bearings and tighten bolts of their fastening with the demanded effort (see below).

 Do not turn a shaft in the course of measurement of gaps!

· Uncover and, having measured width of flattened most out sites of pieces of threads on the scale applied on packing of a set, determine sizes of working gaps in bearings;
· Carefully clear necks and beds of bearings in covers of the remains of the flattened-out threads from a set.

4. Estimate a condition of working surfaces of cams of a shaft. Minor defects can be eliminated by means of an emery paper.
5. Check geometrical parameters of cams of camshafts (see the Section Removal and installation of camshafts). Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications, in case of need replace a shaft.
6. Determine the size of an axial side play of camshafts by the dial measuring instrument of plunger type (see the Section Removal and installation of camshafts). Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications, in case of need replace a shaft or a head complete with covers of bearings.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having oiled bearing necks motive, establish camshafts on the regular places. Attention: Track correctness of placement of pins in forward flanges of shaft, - for 10 hours for shaft of the right head and for 12 hours for shaft of the left head.

And — Pins of forward flanges

2. Apply a little sealant like Three Bond 1280B (a pillow with a diameter of 2.0 ± 0.5 mm in section) on the interfaced surfaces of back part of forward covers of camshafts.

 Causing excessive amount of sealant is fraught with development of leak of oil as a result of pollution of an epiploon.

3. Having oiled the interfaced surfaces motive, establish covers of bearings of camshafts, then, moving in strictly certain order, tighten bolts of fastening of covers with the demanded effort (16 Nanometers).

4. Working as it should be, the return shown on an illustration, tighten bolts of fastening of forward covers of camshafts with the demanded effort (9.8 Nanometers).

5. According to the scheme presented on an illustration, apply a little sealant like Three Bond 1280B on the interfaced surfaces of heads of cylinders and their covers.

 Causing excessive amount of sealant is fraught with development of leak of oil as a result of pollution of an epiploon.

6. Working strictly in a certain order, tighten bolts of fastening of a cover of a head of cylinders with the demanded effort (6.4 Nanometers).

7. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
