The engine lubrication system - the general information The design of the lubrication system and the scheme of distribution of streams are presented on illustrations.Design of the lubrication system of the 4-cylinder engine Design of the lubrication system of the 6-cylinder engine Principle of functioning of the lubrication system of the 4-cylinder engine

Oil pump For supply of greasing in the engine the oil pump of rotor type in which working chamber there are internal and external rotors entered into continuous gearing is used. The drive of the pump is organized directly from a cranked shaft of the engine. Rotors and a cover of the pump are made of a ceramic-metal alloy. Rotation of the internal rotor given from a cranked shaft forces to be turned an external rotor, thus, at the expense of an asymmetric arrangement of rotors and distinction in number of teeths, the size of a working gap between them changes that provides a necessary pressure of a working body. Motive oil is soaked up in big space at entrance port of a pump chamber and pumped over by rotors to final port. In process of rotation of rotors volume for an intake of oil is narrowed therefore the compressed oil under pressure is pushed out through from the outlet. Pressure of motive oil is regulated by the reducing valve which is built in the oil pump and located in close proximity to an exhaust outlet. At increase of pressure developed by the pump to a certain level the reducing valve opens, and excess oil comes back to inlet port. The motive oil forced by the pump moves to bearings distributive and cranked in bulk, and also to the other block elements needing greasing and effective cooling, and also in the demanded proportions is distributed between the GRM components of heads of cylinders. Full-line oil filter For purification of motive oil the full-line oil filter which working element is made of a wax paper is used. For increase in the effective area of a filtration the filtering element has a special corrugated design. The valve providing free pass of oil in case of violation of passability of the filtering element is provided in the filter perepuskny. Design of a full-line oil filter
Sensor switch of pressure of motive oil The sensor switch of pressure of motive oil is located in the top part from the forward party of the right semi-block and serves for control of pressure of oil and serviceability of functioning of the oil pump. Lack of instant rise in pressure of motive oil directly after inclusion of ignition leads to that the sensor switch diaphragm which is wrung out by a spring (with the effort equivalent to pressure in 0.15 kgfs/cm 2) towards the block of cylinders, closes contacts of a chain of the control lamp which is built in an instrument guard. After pressure rises to a preset value, the diaphragm is displaced, overcoming spring resistance, and the chain of a control lamp is disconnected. Design of the sensor switch of pressure of motive oil
4-cylinder models The pallet of a case is attached to the block of cylinders with use for tightness of liquid pro-masonry mastic. The oil receiver is located on the middle of the pallet of a case and equipped with the mesh filter serving for elimination of alien particles which can contain in motive oil. The tube going from an oil receiver is connected to the soaking-up opening of the oil pump around the right semi-block. In the case pallet, is closer to the block of cylinders, the deflektorny plate intended for stabilization of level of motive oil and strengthening of the pallet of a case is provided. Design of the pallet of a case of the 4-cylinder engine 6-cylinder models On 6-cylinder engines the 2-section pallet of a case which top section is made of an aluminum alloy is installed, and lower represents a stamped steel plate. In the top section of the pallet the deflektorny plate intended for stabilization of level of motive oil is pressed. The magnet fixed in the lower part of the pallet serves for concentration and keeping of the metal particles getting to the pallet. The basic arm of a maslozabornik fastens to the top section of the pallet of a case. Sealing of a joint of a maslozaborny tube with the oil pump is provided due to application of a sealing ring. The oil receiver equipped with the mesh filter is located in the center of back part of the pallet of a case where fluctuations of level of oil are minimum.
