Removal and installation of forward covers of the GRM drive
Details of installation of covers of the GRM drive
General information
Details of installation of covers of the GRM drive are shown on an illustration.
The cover of the GRM drive is stamped from light heat-resistant plastic and in combination with the pressurized joints with the interfaced surfaces of the block of cylinders forms completely closed casing which is effectively protecting the components which are in it from hit of dust and moisture.
The rubber laying established between the block of cylinders and a cover of the GRM drive besides sealing function, serves also for decrease in level of noise and vibrations.
On a forward cover of the GRM drive the basic tag for check of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition is put. Removal and installation

1. Take off a V-shaped belt of the drive of auxiliary units (see the Head Routine maintenance).
2. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft (see the Section Removal and installation of a pulley of a cranked shaft).

3. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the left section of a forward cover of the GRM drive.

4. Remove the main section of a cover of the GRM drive.
5. Check a condition of covers and sealing laying, in case of need make the corresponding replacements.
6. Installation is made upside-down, - track that all fixing bolts were tightened with the demanded effort (5 Nanometers for both covers). |
