4. Check rods of drafts for existence of signs of deformations. Estimate smoothness of the course of the lever.
5. Installation is made upside-down.
6. In summary make sure of serviceability of functioning of the drive of the lock from the handle.

External handles of doors

Lateral doors

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove assembly of a castle latch (see below).
2. Give fixing bolts / nuts and remove assembly of the external handle, - try not to bend the handle panel at removal.

3. Check a draft rod for existence of signs of deformations, estimate smoothness of the course of the lever.
4. Installation is made upside-down.
5. In summary make sure of serviceability of functioning of the drive of the lock from the handle.

Door of a back (Legacy Station wagon/Outback model)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the lower section of an internal upholstery of a door (see the Section Removal and installation of panels of an internal upholstery of doors, including a back door (the Station wagon models Legacy and Outback) and a cover of a luggage compartment (Sedan model)).

2. Remove a rod of draft of the drive of a castle latch, give a fixing nut and remove assembly of the external handle of a door.

Castle latches

Forward doors

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Remove the panel of an internal upholstery and an insulating overlay of a door (see the Section Removal and installation of panels of an internal upholstery of doors, including a back door (the Station wagon models Legacy and Outback) and a cover of a luggage compartment (Sedan model)).
3. Remove the internal handle of a door (see above).
4. Remove door glass (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of door glasses and components of window regulators).
5. Give three nuts and remove the back directing trench of glass (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of door glasses and components of window regulators).

6. Turn out three fixing screws and a bolt, disconnect an electrical wiring and take assembly of a castle latch from the door panel.

7. Check a draft rod for existence of signs of deformations, estimate smoothness of the course of the lever.
8. Installation is made upside-down.
9. In summary check serviceability of functioning of a latch.

Door of a back (Legacy Station wagon/Outback model)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Remove the lower panel of an internal upholstery of a door (see the Section Removal and installation of panels of an internal upholstery of doors, including a back door (the Station wagon models Legacy and Outback) and a cover of a luggage compartment (Sedan model)).
3. Remove an executive rod of the cylinder of the lock.
4. Remove the external handle of a door (see above).

5. Turn out three fixing bolts, disconnect an electrical wiring and take a latch from the door panel.

6. Check a draft rod for existence of signs of deformations, estimate smoothness of the course of the lever.
7. Installation is made upside-down.
8. In summary check serviceability of functioning of a latch.

Cover of a luggage compartment (Sedan model)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove an executive rod of the cylinder of the lock.

2. Remove a decorative cover, give a fixing nut and remove a latch.

3. Estimate degree of wear of the drummer, check serviceability of functioning of the safety lever and other moving components of the drive of the lock.
4. Examine components of castle assembly on existence of signs of development of corrosion.
5. Installation is made upside-down. Grease the rubbing elements.
6. In summary check serviceability of functioning of a latch.

Handles of the drive of a remote otpuskaniye of castle latches

Cowl

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a driving cable from a castle latch.

2. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the cowl lock latch otpuskaniye drive lever located at the left under the dashboard.

3. Installation is made upside-down.
4. Check serviceability of functioning of the drive.

Door back/cover of a luggage compartment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a back seat (see the Section Removal, service and installation of seats).
2. Remove the lower panel of finishing of the central rack and a lateral cover of a threshold of the right door.
3. Remove the lower panel of finishing of a back rack, unbend a carpet of a floor back and release a clamp of fastening of a driving cable (see the Section Removal and installation of elements of internal finishing).

4. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the handle of the drive of an otpuskaniye of a latch of the lock of a door of a back/cover of a luggage compartment.

5. Disconnect a driving cable from the handle.

6. Remove the drummer of the lock and disconnect from it a driving cable.

7. Installation is made upside-down.
8. Check serviceability of functioning of the drive.

Cover of the hatch of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the right panel of back lateral finishing (see the Section Removal and installation of elements of internal finishing).

2. Develop to the left and remove the castle assembly located in the right back lateral panel of a body.

3. Installation is made upside-down.
4. Check serviceability of functioning of the drive.

Forward doors

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove assembly of the external handle of a door (see above).

2. Release a clamp of fastening of a rod of draft and remove the lock cylinder.

3. Installation is made upside-down.
