System of start - the general information and precautionary measures

Problem of system is the engine provorachivaniye for the purpose of implementation of its start. The main components of system are assembly of a starter with the traction relay (the magnetic actuator), the battery, the switch of ignition and a connecting electrical wiring.

 


For a complete set of the models considered in the present manual starters of Nippondenso or Mitsubishi are used. Assembly of a starter with the traction relay usually is established in the top part of the power unit, near a transmission dome.

When turning the ignition key in the situation START the contour of management of system of start carries out giving of food on the traction relay which makes switching of power supply of the battery directly on a starter electric motor. The motor starts rotating, at the same time turning for a gear wreath the flywheel put on a cranked shaft of the engine / a driving disk.

On models with AT the chain of management of functioning of a starter switched on the special sensor switch blocking start of the engine in provisions of transmission, excellent from "Р" and "N". On models with RKPP start of the engine becomes possible only at the squeezed-out coupling that is controlled by the sensor switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter.

When performing any works on service of components of system of start it is necessary to observe the following special precautionary measures:

a) Remember that excessively long provorachivaniye of the engine a starter can lead to serious damages of an electric motor of the last as a result of an overheat. Never use a starter continuously further of 15 seconds, - for cooling of an electric motor of rather 1-2-minute pause;
b) Do not forget that the starter is connected directly to the battery and careless handling of it is fraught with a fire-dangerous elektrodugoobrazovaniye;
c) Performing any works with components of system of start, without fail disconnect a negative wire from the battery (remember that if the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery it is necessary to make sure of knowledge of the correct combination for input of the audio system in action).
