Removal, dismantling, assembly and installation of the generator
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Mark and disconnect the electrical wiring brought to the generator. |
3. Take off a V-shaped driving belt (see the Head Routine maintenance).
4. Turn out lock and axial bolts and remove the generator from the engine. |
5. It will be reasonable to bring removed from the generator car in shop as an example, - replaceable assembly has to correspond in accuracy to it on a standard size (plugs have to have the same marking, coincide by the size and an arrangement, also track coincidence of the identification marking which is beaten out on the case, or put on Schild). 6. The new / restored generators can be delivered on the market without driving pulley, - in that case the last should be rearranged from old assembly. |
Dismantling and assembly
1. The hair dryer warm up a site (A) of a back cover of generating assembly to 50 °C. |
2. Turn out four through bolts. By means of couple of suitable screw-drivers with flat stings, separate a forward cover from the stator.

3. Clamp anchor assembly in a vice with soft sponges, and release a nut of fastening of a pulley. 4. Unsolder connection between the rectifier and a winding of the stator for removal of the last.
Time of warming up of connection should not exceed 3 seconds, - more long thermal influence can lead to a rectifier exit out of operation. |
5. Turn out screws of fastening of assembly of the regulator of tension to a back cover, then unsolder the regulator from the rectifier. 6. Having unsoldered conducting braids, remove brushes.
7. Give a nut and remove the isolating insert of the B plug, then remove the rectifier.

8. Assembly is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments:
a) Before assembly fill with a brush finger in holders and fix them in this situation, having pushed a wire (A) with a diameter of 2 mm and 40 long ± 5 mm in a special opening in a back cover.
Do not forget to remove a wire after completion of assembly! |
b) Heat a landing nest in a back cover of the generator to 50 ÷ 60 °C and press the back bearing in a cover.
Before installation of the bearing carefully wipe it, having completely removed all traces of greasing; |
c) Having finished assembly, manually turn a generator pulley, checking smoothness of rotation of an anchor.
