The drive of back wheels - the general information

The torque transmission from interaxal differential of transmission assembly to back wheels of the car is carried out by means of the driveshaft and (through assembly of back differential) back power shafts (half shafts).


The structure of assembly of the driveshaft switched on hinges of equal angular speeds that provides the general decrease in level of the noise background created during the work as the transmission line. The central CV JOINT on type belongs to hinges of double compensation and has freedom of axial movement.

Back differential


1. On the cars considered in the present manual back differentials of one of two types are used: VA or T.

2. In differential of VA type the gipoidny gear wheel with a diameter of 152 mm is used, the shaft of the leading gear wheel is fixed in three bearings. The pretightness of the bearing is regulated by selection of a pro-rate in a combination with a washer. Height of the leading gear wheel is regulated by a choice of the washers established on her neck, - at selection of gear wheels the false shaft and the measuring instrument is used.

3. The T-type differential essentially differs from differential of VA type in only diameter of a gipoidny gear wheel (160 mm).

1. The design back stupichny assemblies is presented on an illustration.
2. The internal ends of power shafts are entered into gearing with back differential by means of the internal CV JOINTS (the hinge of double compensation) having freedom of movement in the axial direction. The maximum working corner of the internal hinge makes 23 °. In case of need the internal CV JOINT can be disassembled.
3. External CV JOINTS of a power shaft are fixed by the fullered nuts in naves of wheels. Working corners of external hinges lie within range to 42 °.
4. In total hinges provide smoothness and uniformity of rotation of driving wheels with a minimum level of the transferred vibrations.
5. The external holder of the stupichny bearing is a component of an adjusting flange. Stupichny assembly of a pribolchen to a back fist, and between them the brake board is established. From both parties of stupichny assembly epiploons are established. As the stupichny the ball bearing with a pretightness and an unregulated corner of contact is used.
6. Brake disks have external installation and fasten to a wheel disk by means of wheel bolts.
