Removal, service and installation of a back power shaft
Details of installation of a back power shaft
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. 2. Release wheel nuts. 3. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Remove back wheels. 4. To Raschekanta a stupichny nut, also give it a face key at the squeezed-out pedal of a foot brake.
In order to avoid damage of bearings after removal of a wheel the stupichny nut should be weakened and again to tighten! |
5. Remove assembly of back differential (see the Section Removal, service, installation and adjustment of back differential of T-type or Removal, service, installation and adjustment of back differential of VA type).
6. Release a back power shaft from a wheel nave, - in case of need use a stripper of ST1 926470000 and a mandrel of ST2 927140000, - try not to damage sealing sponges of an epiploon and a rotor of the wheel sensor. |
7. By means of a mandrel of ST1 922431000 and a nozzle of ST2 927390000 fill the external CV JOINT of a power shaft in shlitsevy connection of a nave, - try not to damage a rotor of the wheel ABS sensor.
At installation do not knock on a power shaft a hammer! |
8. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Track that all fixture was tightened with the demanded effort. |
Dismantling
1. Release bandage tapes, remove a protective cover from a holder of the internal CV JOINT and shift it to the middle of a shaft. 2. Having hooked a screw-driver, remove a spring lock ring of fastening of an external holder of the internal CV JOINT. 3. Remove an external holder of the internal CV JOINT from assembly of a power shaft. 4. Remove greasing and take 6 balls. 5. For removal of a separator from an internal holder develop it a half of turn to a path of an internal holder. 6. By means of flat-nose pliers remove a spring lock ring of fastening of an internal holder on a shaft. 7. Remove an internal holder of the internal CV JOINT. 8. Remove a separator and a protective cover of the internal CV JOINT from a shaft, previously having wound with a pin vent adhesive tape. 9. Release bandage tapes and remove a protective cover of the external CV JOINT, - the external hinge is not subject to dismantling and in case of failure is replaced complete with shaft. |
Assembly
For greasing of components of the external end of a power shaft it is necessary to use Molylex No. 2 greasing (No. 723223010), and for greasing of the internal end - VU-3A702 greasing (No. 23223GA050) (yellow color). |
1. Establish a protective cover of the external CV JOINT and fill in it 60 ÷ 70 g of Molylex No. 2 greasing. 2. Put on a protective cover of the internal CV JOINT a shaft, having shifted is closer to the middle of assembly.
3. Put a separator of the internal CV JOINT on a shaft.

4. Establish an internal holder of the internal CV JOINT on a shaft and record it a lock ring. 6. Fill in an external holder of the internal CV JOINT 80 ÷ 90 of of VU-3A702 greasing. 7. Fill to relish in separator windows. 8. Fill six balls in bearing assembly. 9. Level an external holder concerning balls and put it on assembly of the bearing. 10. Put a spring lock ring in a reception flute on an external holder of the internal CV JOINT. 11. Grease with an even layer of greasing an internal surface of a protective cover (20 ÷ 30 g). 12. Establish a protective cover of the internal CV JOINT, - track that the cover was not overwound.
The inside of the bigger end of a protective cover of the external CV JOINT and landing flute on the case of the hinge have to be free from greasing and other substances! At installation the hinge has to be in neutral situation. |
13. Fix protective covers new bandage tapes. |
