For fixing of tubes of C and D of returnable and pressure head lines of a hydraulic path the collar E is used

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Tire out the car on the elevator.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. Lift the car and remove a domkratny plate.
4. Disconnect from a case of the steering mechanism of a tube And and In hydraulic lines.
5. Remove a collar of E fixings of tubes of C and D of pressure head and returnable contours.
6. Disconnect tubes of C and D from a case of the steering mechanism.
7. On models 2.0 and 2.5 of l turn out bolts of intermediate clamps and disconnect a tube of C from the steering pump, and a tube of D from a returnable hose.

 Try not to allow hits of hydraulic liquid on a driving belt, in order to avoid hit in system of dirt at once to a zakuporta, or wrap up pure rags the open ends of lines!

8. On models of 3.0 l disconnect a pressure head hose from the pump, and returnable from the tank of hydraulic liquid.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 Remember that continuous functioning of the reducing valve of pump assembly on an extent more than leads 5 seconds to reduction of service life of hydraulic hoses, the pump and actually hydraulic liquid owing to an overheat! Try to avoid such situations both during operation of the vehicle, and during check of components.

1. Attentively study a condition of all removed components. Estimate a condition of contact nipple surfaces of tubes, cap nuts of nipple sockets, check tubes for existence of deformations, and hoses - for existence of swellings, cracks, cuts and other mechanical damages, make sure of serviceability of coupling collars. Replace defective components.

 Try not to allow hits on a surface of hoses of a hydraulic path of GUR of such chemically aggressive substances as battery electrolyte, motive oil, ATF, brake fluid, etc., - in case of need immediately wipe hoses pure rags!

2. Some typical defects of hydraulic hoses are connected with quite certain violations. So, inflation of a pressure head hose most often is caused by excessive time of continuous functioning of the reducing valve, refusal of the last, or decrease in intensity of heat removal from hydraulic liquid. The overheat of hydraulic liquid can lead also to sliding from the union of a returnable hose (check also a condition of a fixing collar). Existence on hoses of signs of development of insignificant leaks can testify to the wrong laying of lines, excessiveness of amplitude of vibrations of the power unit (as a result of weakening of pillows of support of its suspension bracket, or abnormality of installation of an emphasis of the limiter of raskachivaniye of the engine). On hoses of cracks can lead excessive increase of pressure of hydraulic liquid to emergence (for example, as a result of refusal, or excessively long continuous functioning of the reducing valve), and also hit on a surface of a hose of chemically aggressive liquids.

 Hoses can start bursting also at long operation of the car in the conditions of the lowered temperatures.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having tightened fixing bolts with the demanded effort (13 Nanometers), fix returnable and pressure head hydraulic lines intermediate clamps and, working as it should be, the return to a detachment order, restore their initial connection to the steering pump, the GUR tank. Track that hollow bolts of nipple sockets were tightened with the demanded effort (39 Nanometers), - try not to allow twistings of hoses.
2. Temporarily establish a collar of E intermediate fixings of tubes of C and D, - track correctness of a choice of location of a collar.
3. Make sure of correctness of an arrangement of marking in the form of figure 8 on both sections of a collar E, then tighten a coupling bolt with the demanded effort (7.4 Nanometers).
4. Restore initial connection of tubes of C and D and tighten nipple nuts with the demanded effort (15 Nanometers).
5. Connect tubes And and In to a case of the steering mechanism, - at first top (In), then lower (And). Tighten cap nuts of nipple sockets with the demanded effort (13 Nanometers).
6. Establish into place a domkratny plate, connect a negative wire to the battery and fill in fresh liquid in system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel. Attention: Attempt of start of the engine at not filled system of GUR is fraught with jamming of the shiberny steering pump.
7. In summary check correctness of placement of hydraulic lines. If the gap between the operating pump of a tempostat and a hose of a path of GUR makes less than 10 mm, release lower the section of the pipeline which is pulled together with a collar (And) is closer to a suspension bracket beam (but is not closer than on 10 mm). In case of need turn in as appropriate pipeline section B.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In order to avoid emergence of false suspicions on development of leaks in a path of system of GUR it is necessary to pay special attention to care of rubbing of external surfaces of components of a path before their installation after performance of procedures of service.
2. The most critical sites of the hydraulic highway from the point of view of potential possibility of development of leaks are shown on an illustration.
3. Leaks via nipple sockets (1 ÷ 11) most often are connected with weakening of cap nuts / hollow bolts / collars of nipple sockets, hit in sockets of dirt or foreign subjects, and also damage of sealing washers and rings, - tighten the released fixture, replace the failed sealing elements, replace the weakened collars.
4. (12 ÷ 14) usually mechanical damage (cracks, cuts), or material aging (hardening, swelling, a loosening) of the last is the main reason for development of leaks in hoses, - replace the failed hoses.
5. The most probable cause of emergence of leaks through joints pig-iron to flow cases of the steering pump (15 and 16) damage of a sealing ring, or violation of integrity of sealing laying is, - replace defective sealing units.
6. Cracks in the case of the tank (17 and 18) most often appear around branch pipes of connection of hydraulic hoses. The defective tank is subject to replacement.
7. Leaks through a jellied mouth of the tank (19) can result from damage of sealing laying of a cover, emergence of cracks to plastic, and also at a modulation of working liquid when filling system, - replace a tank/cover, make adjustment of level of GUR liquid (see the Section Check and GUR liquid replacement, removal of air from a hydraulic path).
8. Leaks in the power cylinder of the steering mechanism (20) most often result from failure of a sealing cuff, - replace a cuff (see the Section Removal, service and installation of the steering mechanism).
9. Failure of sealing elements, or mechanical defect of actually valvate assembly appears the reason of development of leaks in the operating valve (21 and 22) most often, - make necessary recovery repair, replace the failed epiploons/laying (see the Section Removal, service and installation of the steering mechanism).
