1. Tire out the car on the elevator.

6. Lower the car and remove section of the lower finishing of the dashboard from the driver's party of salon.

7. Turn out the screw of fastening of the lower cover of a casing of a steering column.

8. Disunite contact sockets of all of the electrical wiring plaits brought to a steering column.

9. Turn out two fastenings of a steering column located under the bolt dashboard.

10. Release assembly of a steering shaft from a foot emphasis of a floor.

Turn out two screws of fastening of the top cover of a casing of a steering column, and also two screws of fastening of assembly of the combined understeering switches, and remove the corresponding components.

1. Establish assembly of the combined switches on the top shaft of a column.
2. Establish the top cover, then pass plaits of an electrical wiring of understeering switches and the switch of ignition between basic to ledges of a cover and tighten fixing screws with the demanded effort (1.2 Nanometers).

1. Carefully wipe external surfaces of components of assembly of a steering column pure rags and study their state. Replace defective details.

2. Measure the full length of assembly of a steering column. If the result of measurement exceeds the limit of admissible range (849.7 mm: for the Legacy models and 817.8 mm: for the Outback models), replace assembly.

2. Pass the end of a steering shaft throughout the plug through passage.
3. Tighten the bolts of fastening of a steering column located under the dashboard with the demanded effort (25 Nanometers).
4. Restore initial connection of the electrical wiring plaits laid under the dashboard.
5. Connect the safety cushion electrical wiring socket on the cable reel, - track a zashchelkivaniye of the double lock.
6. Holding the lever of adjustment of an inclination of a column in the omitted situation, establish the lower cover of a casing of a steering column.
7. Connect the cardan hinge (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of the cardan hinge of a steering column).
8. Center provision of a contact drum of a chain of an electrical wiring of a horn/safety cushion (see the Head Onboard electric equipment), - track that forward wheels of the car were in rectilinear situation.
9. Establish and adjust a steering wheel (see the Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel) and the module of a driver's safety cushion (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).
