Service, removal and installation of a radiator of the cooling system

 Do not start performance of procedures before full cooling of the engine.

Service

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Kill the engine, carefully wipe all subjects to check joints and connections.
2. Uncover a jellied mouth of a radiator, in case of need add in a radiator cooling liquid for rise in level of the mouth, last to the lower cut.

3. Connect a special tester to a jellied mouth of a radiator and create in the last pressure in 157 kPas. Check assembly of a radiator and its nipple connections for existence of signs of development of leak of liquid.

4. Attentively study a condition of radiator hoses, in case of need make their replacement.

Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
3. Remove protection of a case.
4. Empty the cooling system.
5. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the main and auxiliary fans of the cooling system (see the Section Check of Serviceability of Functioning, removal, service and installation of fans of the cooling system).
6. Disconnect a final hose from a thermostat cover (l models 2.0 and 2.5) / a radiator (model of 3.0 l) (see the Sections Check of Serviceability of Functioning and Replacement of the Thermostat and Check of Serviceability of Functioning, removal, service and installation of fans of the cooling system).
7. On models with AT disconnect hoses of a path of cooling of ATF from a radiator.
8. Lower the car on the earth.
9. Remove an air inlet (see the Section Service of Components of an Inlet Air Path).
10. Disconnect an overflow hose of the cooling system.
11. Remove a broad tank of the cooling system.
12. On models 2.0 and 2.5 of l disconnect an inlet hose of a radiator from the engine. On models of 3.0 l disconnect inlet hoses from a radiator.

13. Remove arms of the top support of a radiator.

14. Release from a clamp on a radiator a hose of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel.

15. Slightly raise radiator assembly, shift it to the left, then take from a motive compartment.

16. Installation is made upside-down, - previously make sure available on the places of rubber pillows of the lower support, - landing pins of a radiator have to get to reception nests of pillows. Track that all fixture was tightened with the demanded effort (see Specifications and accompanying illustrations to the present Section).
