Removal and installation of components of systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases

Forward catalytic converter

REMOVAL

L models 2.0 and 2.5

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Tire out the car on the elevator.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. On models with the catalytic converter disconnect an electrical wiring from dokatalitichesky a lambda probe.

4. On the models equipped with system of onboard self-diagnostics of the SAE standard (OBD II), disunite the contact socket of an electrical wiring post-catalytic a lambda probe.

5. Lift the car over the earth.
6. Remove the lower protection.

7. Separate assembly of forward and average sections of system of production of the fulfilled gases from back section, - try not to burn hands.

8. Release nuts of fastening of reception pipes of system of release to heads of cylinders.

9. Remove assembly of lobbies and average sections from suspended arms.

 Do not delay assembly of system of release down!

10. Separate the forward catalytic converter from forward section of system of release.


Models of 3.0 l

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Tire out the car on the elevator.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove assembly of the air cleaner with an inlet sleeve (see the Section Service of Components of an Inlet Air Path).

4. Disunite contact sockets of an electrical wiring dokatalitichesky a lambda probes.

5. Lift the car over the earth.
6. Remove the lower protection.
7. Release an electrical wiring dokatalitichesky a lambda probes from clamps on covers of heads of cylinders.

8. Disunite the contact socket of an electrical wiring post-catalytic a lambda probe.

9. Separate assembly of forward and average sections of system of production of the fulfilled gases from back section, - try not to burn hands.

10. Release nuts of fastening of reception pipes of system of release to heads of cylinders.

11. Remove assembly of lobbies and average sections from suspended arms.

 Do not delay assembly of system of release down!

12. Separate the right forward catalytic converter from forward section of system of release.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check sections of system of release for existence of signs of leak of the fulfilled gases through joints and welded seams. Make sure of lack of through openings. In case of need replace the failed elements.
2. Installation is made upside-down. Track that all fixture was tightened with the demanded effort (see Specifications and illustrations to the subsection "Removal").

 The tightening of a bolt of fastening of the central section of system of release to an arm of subweight is made in the last turn, before installation of the lower protection.

Back catalytic converter

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

On l models 2.0 and 2.5 forward and back catalytic converters are switched on in structure of assembly of the central section of system of production of the fulfilled gases. On models of 3.0 l all three catalytic converters are also united in uniform assembly. In view of the dismantle told an order and installations of the back catalytic converter it is similar described above for the forward.

Coal adsorber

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Tire out the car on the elevator and lift it over the earth.

2. Release fixing collars and disconnect the hoses brought to assembly of a coal adsorber.

3. Turn out fixing bolts and remove assembly of a coal adsorber from the car.

4. Check the adsorber case for existence of cracks and other mechanical damages. Estimate a condition of hoses. Replace the failed components.
5. Installation is made upside-down. Track that all fixture was tightened with the demanded effort.

Electromagnetic valve of management of an adsorber purge

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

2. On models of 3.0 l remove assembly of the steering pump (an electrical wiring disconnect) and, without disconnecting from it hydraulic lines, postpone for a mudguard of the right wing, previously having spread rags. Disconnect an electrical wiring from electromagnetic the valve of management of a purge.

3. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the valve from the lower party of the inlet pipeline.

4. On models 2.0 and 2.5 of l disconnect an electrical wiring from the valve.

5. Check a condition of the hoses brought to the valve, replace defective components.

6. Installation is made upside-down. The bolt of fastening of the valve is tightened with effort of 19 Nanometers.

 Track correctness of connection of vaporizing hoses.



And — To the fuel line
In — To the inlet pipeline (to model with OBD II) / to the throttle case (to model with OBD Subaru)


EGR valve (only models of 3.0 l)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Remove an airreception chamber (see the Section Service of Components of an Inlet Air Path).
3. Remove a starter (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine).

4. Disconnect a tube of recirculation of the fulfilled gases from the EGR valve and a head of cylinders.

5. Remove the EGR valve from the inlet pipeline and disconnect from it an electrical wiring.

6. Check freedom and correctness of a valve stroke. Estimate a condition and passability of a tube of EGR.
7. Installation is made upside-down. The tightening of the valve is made with effort of 19 Nanometers, bolts of fastening of a tube of EGR - 6.4 Nanometers.

Double-thread valve

Check of serviceability of functioning of the double-thread valve (model with OBD Subaru), - air has to pass in both directions (And and In)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
2. Disconnect the hoses brought to the double-thread valve.

3. On the models equipped with system of onboard self-diagnostics of the SAE standard (OBD II) turn out a fixing bolt and remove the valve assembled with a basic arm.


4. Check a condition of hoses, in case of need make replacement. On models with OBD Subaru by means of the manual air pump check correctness of functioning of the valve (air has to pass in both directions). Replace the faulty valve.

5. Installation is made upside-down. Track reliability of a tightening of fixture and hose collars. On models with OBD Subaru pay attention to correctness of installation of the valve.
