The tachometer shows the frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine in thousands of revolutions per minute. In order to avoid an exit of the engine it is out of operation forbidden to exceed the most admissible frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft (the arrow of a tachometer never has to come into a red zone of a scale).
The speedometer shows the speed of the movement of the car. As a unit of measure km/h usually serve. In certain cases on the dial of the measuring instrument two scales can be put: km/h and miles/h. The alarm buzzer of excess of admissible safe speed of the movement (120 km/h) can sometimes be included in the package of the car.

Display of indications of the odometer/counter of the current run/temperature of external air
Switching of the modes of the display is made by means of the speedometer of the push-button switch located on the right under the dial. Switching is made according to the scheme: The odometer — the Counter of the current run — the Odometer, or: The odometer — the Counter of the current run — the External thermometer — the Odometer.
The odometer fixes the general run of the car in kilometers or miles, depending on execution option from the moment of the beginning of operation.
Counter of a distance in kilometers of the current run
The counter registers the current run of the car from the moment of the last dumping of the indications (in kilometers or miles, depending on execution option). Dumping of indications of the counter is made by means of the button of switching of the modes: enter the mode of the counter of the current run and for zeroing of indications hold the button pressed within several seconds.
Index of temperature of external air
In this mode the display highlights indications of the external thermometer.
The digital display of a conclusion of indications of onboard hours is built in in the tachometer dial. On the right under the dial the handle of installation of indications of hours is located. Rotation of the handle clockwise leads to increase in indications, against - to reduction.
Control lamps and light indicators
The whole complex of control lamps and indicators by means of which the driver receives important information on serviceability/violation functioning of the main units and systems of the car is built in assembly of a combination of devices of the car. The scheme of an arrangement of control lamps on an instrument guard is submitted on sopr. illustrations. Below information on the principle of functioning of each of the provided light indicators separately is offered to attention of the reader.
Light indicators in the form of arrows have a green luminescence and serve for control of serviceability of functioning of the corresponding indexes of turns. The direction of indicator arrows coincides with the chosen direction of a change of course of the car. Indicators work in the flashing mode with frequency, the corresponding frequency of a blinking of indexes of turn. The speeded-up blinking of one of indicators usually testifies to burn-out of a lamp of one of indexes of the corresponding turn. Follows at the first opportunity to make replacement of the burned-down lamp not to create emergencies on roads.
Turning on of the alarm system usually is followed by a simultaneous blinking of indicators of indexes of both turns.
This light indicator lights up along with inclusion of a driving beam of head headlights of the car and differs in a characteristic blue luminescence.
The control lamp of pressure of motive oil (red) has to light up at inclusion of ignition and die away right after start of the engine. The lamp blinking at the working engine testifies to the pulsation decrease in working pressure of engine oil in the engine. Transition of the indicator to the mode of a constant luminescence says that pressure of oil fell to dangerously low level that is fraught with serious internal damages of the engine, up to its full exit out of operation. Burning of this indicator warns the driver what not all doors of the car are densely shut. The indicator has a red, or yellow luminescence.
The control lamp (red) continuously burns when raising the parking brake, reminding the driver of need of his otpuskaniye before a start of motion. The movement with the cocked parking brake leads to a fast overheat and failure of brake mechanisms of back wheels of the car and premature wear of protectors of tires of back wheels, but also, can become a cause of infringement of serviceability of functioning of system of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS).
If the control lamp continues to burn after an otpuskaniye of the parking brake, or joins in movement time, it usually testifies to excessive falling of level of brake fluid. One of the possible reasons of gradual decrease in level of brake fluid is normal wear of frictional overlays of brake shoes. Ignoring of signals of a control lamp is fraught with serious damages of the engine, up to a unit exit out of operation. At operation of a control lamp under way it is necessary to stop immediately the movement, to park in a safe place and to kill the engine, then, later small time, to make start, watching thus behavior of a control lamp. If the lamp did not return to the normal mode of functioning and continues to burn, the car should be driven away on the nearest car repair shop for carrying out detailed diagnostics and performance of necessary recovery repair. Before elimination of malfunction of systems of the engine try to move with a moderate speed, avoiding sharp dispersals with full squeezing of a pedal of gas.
This control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition and has to die away right after implementation of start of the engine. If the lama continues to burn at the working engine (in the constant or flashing mode), it indicates existence of malfunction of components of SRS system. At the corresponding complete set operation of this control lamp can be the testimony of malfunction in contours of lateral safety cushions, or devices of automatic emergency natyazhitel of seat belts (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS)).
This control lamp serves for control of serviceability of functioning of ABS, quickly works at inclusion of ignition and has to die away some seconds later after implementation of start of the engine.
This control lamp is quickly activated at inclusion of ignition and has to go out right after implementation of start of the engine, confirming with that readiness of a control system of dynamics for functioning.
Refusal of a lamp of inclusion at turn of the ignition key in the situation ON, it is equal as refusal of its shutdown after start of the engine and dispersal of the car to speed more than 12 km/h, and also its operation during the movement testify to violation of serviceability in a VDC system chain.
This indicator is activated approximately for 2 seconds at inclusion of ignition and has to go out right after implementation of start of the engine, confirming with that readiness of a control system of dynamics for functioning. Refusal of a lamp of inclusion/switching off testifies to violation of serviceability of functioning of VDC system.
At VDC function activation the indicator passes into the flashing mode. Remark: Activation of VDC happens only at inclusion of antiprobuksovochny system (TCS).
Light indicator of shutdown (waiting mode) of VDC/TCS
This indicator is activated approximately for the 6th seconds at inclusion of ignition and has to go out right after implementation of start of the engine, confirming with that readiness of a control system of dynamics for functioning. Refusal of a lamp of inclusion/switching off testifies to violation of serviceability of functioning of VDC system.
Shutdown (transfer to a waiting mode) of VDC/TCS systems also leads to activation of the indicator.
At start of the engine in cold weather shutdown of the indicator can happen to some delay that should not cause concern, - the lamp has to go out as soon as the engine gets warm up to the normal working temperature. Also the brand of the fuel filled in the car can have impact on duration of a delay of shutdown of the indicator.
The VDC OFF indicator is activated also at identification of malfunctions in a control system of the engine (operation of a control lamp of MIL).
This indicator has an amber luminescence and quickly works at start of the engine, reminding drivers/passengers of need of fastening by seat belts.
This indicator works at inclusion of the HOLD AT mode.
This indicator works at inclusion of the POWER AT mode.
This indicator works at inclusion of the mode of the lowering transfer.
This indicator confirms activation of the forward drive on models with the switched-off forward drive.
This control lamp allows the driver to control an overheat of transmission oil in AT at the movement in cross-country conditions or the mountain district.
This control lamp serves for control over serviceability of functioning of system of an electronic immobilization of the engine.
The control lamp is built in in the fuel consumption measuring instrument (see below) and joins when in a fuel tank of the car there are less than 10 l of fuel and warns the driver about need to make gas station of the car at the first opportunity.
This indicator is activated and starts functioning in the flashing mode when transfer an electric air suspension bracket from the situation NORMAL in the situation HI.
